light
working as a cinematographer I‘ve learnt to boost my imagination for lighting
by going on location and see what the light does in different times of the day.
then go back to the script read each scene again and imagine its lighting
and how it fits into the atmosphere of the film.
Ólafsfjörður is the location and today I spent two hours limiting myself into one single frame doing my research.
nothing could prepare me for the beauty I witnessed today.
they call it the dark winter because of the limited hours of light.
but time is relevant and I ll carry the beauty of this light in me even through the darkest of the days.
